02 Sept- Although the iPhone is ranked only seventh in China's smartphone market, the greater China area which includes Taiwan and Hong Kong, contribute two-thirds of Apple's revenue from the Asia-Pacific region in the second quarter of the year, reported tech website AllThingsD.
The iPhone's share of China's smartphone market is just 7.5% way behind Samsung, which owns more than 20%. Apple offers no budget model for price-conscious buyers in China. Its phone also do not support the wireless standard used by China Mobile, the world's largest Telco.
