All of this and mote can be done with the Blackberry’s new and exciting smartphone Z10. Users can expect a totally revamped user experience, faster processing (with the Snapdragon processor) and, at the same time, the same reliability that one can expect from a blackberry device.

The innovative and intuitive Blackberry Z10 rings to users a wealth of new features and improvements. Build upon the QNX framework (the same platform that powers robust communications products, such as internet routers, and also luxury cars from BMW), the Blackberry Z10 now features a full touchscreen experience like never before and also expansive functionalities that make the Z10 a worthy contender in the world of mobility today.
With the Blackberry Z10, the newly developed Blackberry Peek and Hub. The Blackberry Peek is a new feature that allows users to peek at the status of their phone and see if there any new messages/emails/tweets/Facebook notifications for them to look through. All of these messages will be compiled into the Blackberry Hub- a one stop centre for users’ messages. Everything is now centralised, making it easy to search for. Type away and boom- you’d be able to find your messages. You can even reply to all your messages from within the Hub. How convenient!

For the first time ever, access your Blackberry with just fingers like never before. Swipe the screen to access your homescreen, Hub and even do other  fancy fingers gestures that activate useful services at Peek. Tap to open an app and swipe the screen to set it into standby. You can even swipe to Peek while you have multiple apps running. Indeed , not much will faze this powerful beast. The new keyboard also combines the reliability of the Blackberry keyboard we love (in a software form) plus a new feature : type a couple of letters and the predictive text system will magically interpret what is the word you want to type. All you need to do then is to just swipe it into your message. Cool isn’t it?

LG Optimus G 4G Android Phone (Sprint)

Forget abouth the Google Nexus 4. Its more powerful sibling, the LG Optimus G, has a much healthier stock level and is on sale.

LG's newest flagship device has a more angular design, resembling a black glass slab with a less rounded corner, looking somewhat like the blocky iPhone 5. Packed densely into a compact chassis that measures 131.9X68.9X8.45mm, the phone fees solid and sturdy. Its front and rear glass panels add to the weight of the device at 145g.

The upside to this is that both panels are made with the sturdier and more scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 2, compared with the plastic back cover on Samsung's Galaxy phones, and the scratch magnet on the rear of the iPhone 5.

Handling the Optimus G was a piece of biscuit, though the placement of its power button on the right side of the phone, with the volume buttons on the left, took some getting used to. At the bottom of the device is an easily acessible micro USB port.

The 4.7 inch display does not waste any real estate space, with only a thin black bezel on its side. Unlike the Nexus 4, which integrates the back, home and recent applications short cuts into the screen, the Optimus G places them just below the screen as three touch-sensitive buttons backed by LED lights.

Its True HD IPS+panel handled the display job well, delivering clear and sharp images with a screen resolution of 768X1280 pixels and screen density of 320 pixels per inch. I was able to read fine text and view images perfectly clearly under strong daylight, and its IPS panel also had a larger viewing angle that aloowed others to view the screen at a slight angle.

Its clean, unassuming Optimus 3.0 UI (user interface) complements the latest Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, with a das of LG's own customization tossed in.

What really amazed me was the performance of the phoe. Aside from somr innovative LG-only features, there were no visible lags when using the device. Temple Run 2 was loaded in less than 6 seconds, and during mybplaythrough, the fast and furioud game reacted swiftly to my controls. Webpages were also rendered quickly, aided in part by the Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor and the fast LTE speeds on the phone.

In the Quadrant and Geekbench 2 benchmark apps that measure overall performance, the LG phone performed very well.

In the battery mileage department however, Samsun phones still came up ahead. When the LG Optimus G played a 720p video under intensive conditions, includind full brightness abd volume along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth activated, the phone lasted slightly under six hours. Under a normal scenario, which involves the use of WhatsApp, e-mail and social network apps, a full charge lasted for 15hours before a recharge was necessary.
